Rajasthan child custody case - why not shared parenting??


Few days  ago while  scrolling through the  twitter i came across  this  very interesting  case.

The case 

The case of Preet Singh & his son Jatin started when a vedio  of separation went viral. It broke all our hearts after an SDM gave custody orders to the mother despite knowing child has been with father for years & taken care of extremely well.

Preet & his wife Suman have been in dispute since years. He's an ex army man. He took VRS in April to look after his son. Suman left home first in 2018 (she says was thrown out) & then again in 2020 (again claims was thrown out). Their daughter is with Suman while son with PreetIn 2021, Suman filed a CrPC 97/98 case claiming her son is in illegal custody of husband's elder brother & has threat of life. Court ordered police to do an enquiry & submit report. Instead of telling court child is safe with father, they asked Preet to produce child in Court
SDM Chidava didn't consider fact that couple reunited after dispute in 2018 & had a child, that Jatin has been with father, studying well there since 2 yrs, is pleading to stay with father. Even though this wasn't custody case, SDM gave custody to mother, hence that painful video
Jatin was studying in GD Goenka. Had a healthy upbringing. Now he will live in interiors of a village where I don't know if there's a school around or must be far. SDM should have considered these things but wonder if he did. Not my case judging either parent. Felt sad for family

I spoke to Suman too. She says she's been ill treated & abandoned Preet Singh alleges entire dispute is cuz Sumans father demands money from him all d time & his denial to give after giving lacs is main reason for fights Suman alleges Preet & his family only want son & don't care about her or the daughter who's 4 yr old. Alleges dowry demandShe filed a #498A this year post which Preet was kept in custody for a day as soon as he came back from his job in Army. That case is going on. Preet claims he's been giving money even for daughter, Suman denies it completely. Both families are very bitter with each other surelyPersonally I felt both sides are right & wrong. Both are aggressive. Preet kept saying he's willing for reunion, Suman said she doesn't want to be with him anymore. Family members have made situation even more bitter between them. Last but not least, I felt sick when Suman told me bout illicit affair b/w preet & his bhabhi who's like his mother. Preets mother expired when he was just 3 & been taken care of since then by his Bhai bhabhi. Such atrocious allegations close all doors for any reconciliation.

Our opinions & questions 

It is clear that there was a divorce  case between  the  couple and that the two children  are in between  a child  custody  battle. 

But it was interesting  🤔  to see that the so called  flag bearer of " shared  parenting "were vouching for giving  total custody  of the  children  to the father  instead  of "shared  parenting " and the monolouge of "children needs both parents "

1. Is the agenda of shared parenting  selective?? 

2. Is is only for the times when mothers get the custody??

3. Is it a way to marginalise and defame  mothers??

4. A very  famous  voice  of shared parenting  Dr Rakesh Kapoor always tells the story where the child  doesn't  want to go with the father  to the zoo as she was brainwashed  that she will be feed to the tiger.

Here the child  doesn't  want to meet the mother is it not safe to say that the child was brainwashed  by the father  to say wrong  things  about  the  mother and to not want to meet her??

Shared parenting - the other side

I saw few days  ago  the topic that is   "shared  parenting "  Initially like any curious person  I too was curious  to know  more regarding  this topic  But as I go deep I found  many things  which are  objections  .
